ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

We are committed to providing a quality service in a manner that minimizes our potential impact on the environment. We will operate in
compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and we will strive to use pollution prevention and environmental best practices in all
that we do. We also strive to continually improve our environmental performance and minimize the social impact and damage of activities
by periodically reviewing our environmental policy in light of our current and planned future activities.

Purchasing:

  • We consider environmental concerns and impacts with all of our decision making and activities
  • We communicate our environmental commitment to clients, customers and the public and encourage them to support it
  • We work with other like-minded organizations in order to purchase products that have the least impact on the environment
  • We purchase and use environmentally responsible products accordingly
  • We have an involvement with the local Tourist Board and are members of ‘Welcome to Yorkshire’ which ensures we support local business, thus increasing awareness of buying locally and helping the environment.
  • We do not buy from GM companies.

Waste Reduction and Recycling:

  • We are committed to continuous improvement focusing on waste reduction, recycling of materials, minimizing consumption of energy and other natural resources.
  • We reduce waste through re-use and recycling and by purchasing recycled, recyclable or re-furbished products and materials where these alternatives are available, economical and suitable. In the main:
  • We maximize technology to reduce the usage of paper across our business in the form of unnecessary printouts.
  • Our PET bottles are refillable and 100% recyclable
  • Much of our packaging is biodegradable
  • Our outer box packaging is made from 100% recycled and recyclable cardboard
  • All shipments are packaged responsibility in correct size boxes for their contents
  • We promote efficient use of materials and resources throughout our facility including water, electricity, raw materials and other resources and use low energy light bulbs in our offices.

Cruelty Free

  • Our finished products have never been and never will be tested on animals.
  • Ingredients derived for use within our products have not been tested on animals since the company was established in 2000
  • We do not use any animal-derived ingredients or animal-produced ingredients in our formulations.

Employees:

  • We promote environmental awareness among our employees and encourage them to work in an environmentally responsible manner
  • We train, educate and inform our employees about environmental issues that may affect their work and keep them informed of any changes in legislation.
  • Our staff work from local offices when feasible to cut down on unnecessary CO2 emissions.

Accreditations/Charities:

  • A percentage of our turnover is donated to ‘The Woodland Trust’; the world’s leading woodland conservation charity to help combat climate change
  • Our products are vegan friendly and we are accredited by the Vegetarian Society.
